MindCare: Culturally tailored workshops to reduce dementia risk and support brain-healthy living

MindCare is a brief community education program co-created with Vietnamese, Hindi, Greek and Arabic community members, together with health professionals, researchers and service providers. It offers general, non-medical guidance and everyday lifestyle tips to help support brain health from mid-life onwards.

How it works
MindCare resources are tailored for adults from Vietnamese, Hindi, Greek and Arabic-speaking backgrounds and are designed to be delivered as interactive, in-person workshops (approximately two hours). These workshops are led by bilingual community educators from multicultural service providers, health services or community organisations.

Educators deliver the session using an in-language presenter slide pack with extensive speaker notes, along with a facilitator manual that supports preparation and delivery. Participants also receive printed handouts (in-language and English) and a take-home tip sheet to reinforce key messages.
